Stop snoring (snoreing, snoaring) devices

Stop snoring devices or snoring relief devices like snoring spray for snoreing (snoaring) can sometimes be very helpful to the sufferers. There are nearly 50 million Americans who have a snoring problem today.

Some of the snoring devices may be rather unconfortable but they are still an alternative that most people will prefer to surgery.

Choosing snoring (snoreing, snoaring) device

It is not easy to determine what snoring device will work for you, it is more or less a trial and error process. Here are some guidelines on how to choose. The first thing to try is the cheapest and easiest to use device you can find. In most cases this will be nasal strips intending to keep the nasal passages open. If the strips will not work for you, it is time to move on to the next device in the chain. That is probably an anti-snoring spray (used in the throat).

The above two methods are the most common, snoring spray and nasal strips work for a lot of people with a snoring problem but may not work for all. So if you try these, and find that they are no help in preventing your chronic snoring problem, it is time to try out some of the more awkward anti-snoring devices for snoring relief.

These are usually contraptions that are designed to keep your mouth closed during the nights sleep. They are usually designed to go over the top of your head and over your chins. Devices like these are fairly expensive and also more awkward to use than the spray and the strips.

A more refined version of the above device is a custom made and specially fitted dental device. It may help as an improvement of the above device, but it is unlikely to work if the standard version above didn't help at all.

Snoring and sleep apnia

Finally, you can consult your doctor to see what medication there is available. There are some nasal congestants on prescription only that may be helpful. However, if your snoring is a result of a more serious condition such as sleep apnia (apnea, apena), surgery may be the only remaining option. You need to discuss this thoroughly with your doctor as even a small operation like this can be dangerous if there are complications.

There are various support groups available for patients with sleep apnea and it may be worth joining one of these as you may be able to get first hand information on the surgery, where to have it performed and what to expect. Snoring, snoreing, snoaring and sleep apnea. Snoring spray.

Sleep apnia often depends on a blocking of the upper airways (obstructive sleep apena). Snoring (snoering, snoaring) is often related and both can be treated using Cepap (sometimes also called CPAP) machines for breathing assistance when sleeping. C-Pap, Bipap and other snoring aids can also be of assistance with other sleeping disorders.
